J.D. Young Hotel

Mendham Mill
Five stunning holiday cottages at Mendham’s famous watermill, from 1 to 4 bedrooms.Fast wi-fi, private garden and access to nearly 8 acres of communal gardens and grounds. Two cottages with secure outside space suitable for families with young children or dogs. Canoes and a rowing boat for guest use, private fishing available.The original four cottages are rated 4 Star Gold; by VisitEngland, the newest conversion is rated 5 Star; and is equipped for disabled access. Within walking distance of the village pub and 2 miles from Harleston. Enjoy views which inspired the painter Sir Alfred Munnings who was born at Mendham Mill in 1878.

October House
October House, a self-catering holiday let, resides in a lovingly restored 19th century brewery building that overlooks Chameleon House gardens. The accommodation is fully furnished and set out for open-plan living, with a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and all the appliances needed for a self-catering holiday. October House sleeps 2 adults in the main room and 2 children in the Minstrel's Gallery. Guests are welcome to relax in the secluded garden which includes an historic mulberry tree. The garden is well suited for children to play in whatever the weather! There is designated off-road private parking.

Kingsfisher Lodge at Homersfield Lake
Kingfisher Lodge is set amidst 70 acres of tranquil grounds, offering stunning views of Homersfield Lake with its variety of bird life. This self-catering lodge has 2 double bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, conservatory, dining room and lounge which offer fantastic views of the lake. Homersfield Lake is located in the picturesque village of Homersfield, close to the renowned coastal hotpots of Southwold, Dunwich and the RSPB reserve Minsmere and only a 30-minute drive to the historic city of Norwich. The river Waveney is only 200 metres away with beautiful views of the Waveney Valley, providing scenic walks for keen amblers.Harleston is 2 miles away. Canoeing can be done from Homersfield to Bungay following the river, while larger boats can be hired from Beccles, which can take you to the Norfolk Broads.

Moor View
A rural converted farmhouse set in the centre of 2 acres of garden, situated in unspoiled countryside. The moor is only a few hundred metres from our property allowing excellent walks.There are two double rooms and one single room, with the use of a guest lounge. Wheelchair access. Evening meals can be ordered. Home baked produce, homegrown vegetables, fruits, and salads are served. Homemade preserves are served at the table and sold to guests to take home. All rooms have central heating, comfortable beds and armchairs. Wireless free Internet is available to all guests. Ample off road parking. As well as B&B there is a self-catering cottage for up to 4 people. Pets are welcome at no charge. Purpose built kennels with runs available should you wish to leave your pet for a short time whilst you sight see, shop or eat in one of the local pubs.

Peacock Lodge
Peacock Lodge is situated in the market town of Harleston, enjoying a private location and just a short walk away to enjoy the local restaurants, pubs and shops.
The cottage lodge was originally built in the 1600's and is one of the oldest properties in town with some exposed timbers. A full welcome pack is provided with local attractions and recommendations to assist your visit, the cottage lodge also has private driveway to offer secure parking.
Peacock Lodge has off road parking for one car with private entrance through gates. You have a newly refurbished lodge with a generous area of around 40m2 with living area, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
All rooms are finished to an excellent standard, simply glide back the bi-fold doors and enjoy the enclosed garden. Well behaved pets are welcome.

Little Lakeland Caravan Park
The site is open all year round. The park offers an abundance of wildlife, a well-stocked private fishing lake, together with on-site Park Managers. Many generous sized individual hedged Touring and Seasonal Pitches available, all with electric hook up. Small well-stocked site shop, heated modern toilets, and showers with free hot water, laundry room, parent and baby facilities, children's play area.Little Lakeland has received both Silver and Bronze David Bellamy Conservation Awards.There is a pub in Wortwell, a five-minute walk from the park and also in the neighbouring village of Homersfield. Both pubs serve good quality food and are dog-friendly.

Red Lion campsite, Needham
Caravanners, motor-homers and campers are welcome to the Red Lion's new Caravan and Camp Site, in the pub grounds. There are five hard standing pitches and lots of spaces for tents. Recently installed facilities include electric hook ups, water and waste hook-ups and smart, clean showers and toilets. Family campers will like the children's play area and the pets corner. The Red Lion has all the traditional dishes you want to see on a pub menu, and a special children's menu. The deck area overlooks the garden and campsite and is a lovely place to sit with a cool drink on a warm summer evening.
